RIDING FOR A FALL: Horror Moment Fairground Ride Breaks And Sends People Flying

This is the moment people scream in terror as part of a fairground ride appears to come loose, sending three people flying through the air and onto the ground with a thud.

All three had to be rushed to hospital after they were flung off the apparently malfunctioning attraction at a funfair near Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam, Malaysia.

The incident took place on Monday night (12th December) and was inadvertently caught on camera by a spectator.

Kuala Selangor District Police head Ramli Kasa said: “The three of them fell while the ride known as the Sotong Ride was in motion.”

After emergency services were called, he said, “all the victims were taken to Shah Alam Hospital in an ambulance”.

The victims were described in reports as two women and a child. All sustained injuries, with one woman’s injuries described in reports as “serious”.

The specific nature of their injuries and the condition of the other two victims are unclear. Their names and ages were withheld in reports.

After footage of the incident was posted online, one netizen commented that the ride lacked seatbelts. However, this claim has not been independently verified.

Police will investigate the events and will probe allegations that the fairground was operating without a licence.
