A Brazilian influencer has been slammed online after she posted this video of her sharing a fork with her pet dog.

Social media star Nathalia Valente shared the clip with her 16.7 million TikTok followers on 13th April and was immediately met with revulsion.

The footage shows the 19-year-old feeding her pet pooch, whose ears and tail are dyed blue, tapioca – a crepe made out of manioc or cassava starch.

After shovelling the food into its mouth, she puts the fork back into the bowl, picks up another piece of food, and puts the fork in her own mouth.

Comments next to the video, which has notched up over 2.8 million views, included “Ew, that’s gross”, “Oh my God, the same fork!”, and “She does everything to get attention, it seems like she was rejected in childhood.”

One netizen even joked: “The amount of bacteria she passed on to the dog.”

But some social media users came to the influencer’s defence, with one writing: “As if nobody who has a pet has done that at least once in their life, come on.”

Another confessed: “I won’t judge, because I do the same thing with my cats.”

Nathalia, who comes from Mogi das Cruzes, has won 27 beauty pageants, including Miss Teen Universo in 2018.

In addition to her TikTok fans, the teenager boasts 3.1 million followers on Instagram.

She has also tried her hand at singing, releasing a single in 2021 titled “Leve e Solta”, which has since racked up 571,000 views on YouTube.
