This is the moment two suspected burglars are found in their underwear on the side of the road with a tyre around their necks, their hands tied behind their backs and a bag over their heads saying “thief”.
The incident was filmed near the city of Salavat in the western Russian republic of Bashkortostan after a home owner reportedly found the pair breaking into his property.
According to local media, the suspects are named Akhmed and Vadim and local media said they are known in the area for burgling homes and using the proceeds to buy alcohol.
A passing motorist came across the two men on the side of the street and he stopped to ask them why they were tied and in their underwear.
In the footage, one of the suspected thieves is seen crossing the road to talk to the motorist.
As he stands by the car window with a tyre around his neck, his hands tied behind his back and a bag over his head, the motorist ask the man why he has ‘thief’ written on the bag.
The man claims that he did not steal anything and asks the driver to help free him.
The motorist asks: “Why would someone write ‘thief’ on your forehead if you did not do it?”
The suspected burglar does not have an answer.
Meanwhile, his alleged accomplice is seen walking along the roadside in the same condition.
The house the pair allegedly tried to rob was reportedly owned by a 61-year-old man.
The police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
