This is the moment the Spanish Civil Guard rescues a female German climber who broke her leg during a fall on a Majorcan mountain range.
The incident took place at the Tramuntana Mountains near Port de Soller on the island of Majorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands on Sunday.
The unnamed German woman, 46, fell and broke her leg and a rescue helicopter was needed to airlift her out of the difficult-to-reach spot.
The Spanish Civil Guard transferred the injured climber to the Hospital Universitari Son Espases where she received medical attention for her injuries.
A Civil Guard spokesperson told Newsflash that the climber was a 46-year-old German woman who lives in Majorca.
The video footage shows the moment Spanish rescuers airlift the woman onto the helicopter before flying her on to hospital.
The Spanish police said that strong winds also made the rescue operation difficult.
There have been no further updates on the woman’s condition.
