Barcelona have reportedly agreed to pay Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez 18 million EUR per season to guarantee the services of the 150-million-EUR rated striker.

Argentine international Martinez is seen as Barcelona’s main transfer target for the upcoming season and reports state the Spanish giants have already agreed a pay packet with his agent Beto Yaque.

Reports state the 22-year-old’s representative has agreed to a deal in principle which would see the forward earn 18 million EUR (15.9 million GBP) per season, the same as Antoinne Griezmann.

Italian media say Inter would demand 150 million EUR (133 million GBP) for Martinez, with Barcelona looking to lower the amount of cash involved by including two footballers in the deal.

Among the names mentioned are midfielders Arthur and Carles Alena as well as central defender Jean-Clair Tobido (currently on-loan at Schalke) and right-back Nelson Semedo.

Reports state Inter are already preparing for life without Martinez and have made a shortlist of names to replace him, including Arsenal hitman Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, is also said to be of interest to Antonio Conte’s side.

Martinez has scored 16 goals in 31 games across all competitions this season.
