Red Ferrari Latest Vehicle To Crash Into Womans Frequently Hit Home

A woman who complained that cars regularly crash into her property was shocked after the latest accident where she rushed outside to discover a red Ferrari embedded in her perimeter wall.

The incident took place in the township of Wattville in the metropolitan municipality of Ekurhuleni in the South African state of Gauteng last week.

Home owner Pulane Mpiyane, 60, told local media that someone crashes into the front of her house every couple of years.

However, the most recent incident was the first time she had seen a Ferrari 458 Italia smash into her gated entrance.

Mpiyane said: “There have been many accidents here because it’s a T-junction.

“Most of the time, the drivers are drunk, but the one in the red car was not drunk.”

She added: “The driver told us that he was swerving to avoid the children running in the street, so he had to hit the fence instead.”

Mpiyane also said that the owner of the 2011 Ferrari promised to come back and mend the damage to her property.

She said: “He wanted to give us money, but we asked that he fix the fence and not give us any money.”

Mpiyane said the driver was uninjured in the incident, however a 10-year-old passenger was left in a state of shock so she offered the boy starched water to calm his nerves.

Mpiyane and a 59-year-old neighbour, name not disclosed, said they have asked the local authorities to put up speed bumps numerous times over the years, adding that they have also signed a neighbourhood petition.

Zweli Dlamini, Ekurhuleni municipal spokesperson, said: “We’ll see how far the petition has gone, because we’ve got a process that deals with petitions. We also have a process that deals with speed humps. We’re also going to inspect the area and see if it needs urgent intervention or not.”
