This is the moment a scantily-clad cop with a gun tucked into her shorts dances raunchily for a TikTok video, with netizens criticising her behaviour as unbefitting of her profession.
The clip shows Brazilian police officer Iris Miria Okada dancing to Brazilian ‘funk’ music (a local hip hop style with often violent or lewd lyrics) while gyrating her hips suggestively.
The video went viral on WhatsApp, with the tattooed cop coming under fire from netizens who suggested her behaviour was inappropriate for a law enforcement officer.
Her critics also drew attention to the fact that she recorded the video with her work handgun tucked into her skimpy denim shorts and with a beer bottle in hand
Okada has been a cop since 2018 and serves the city of Dourados (population 225,495) in the west-central Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Before entering the police force, Okada competed as a professional bodybuilder, representing Dourados.
Her force has since said that it has seen the video and is considering taking action against her.
One female police officer, who wished to remain anonymous, told reporters: “It’s so difficult to be a woman in this profession and then this kind of disrespect happens in the middle of the street.
“People paying their taxes so this police officer can do a little dance with her gun.”
