This dramatic video shows a speeding Range Rover driver who was drunk narrowly avoiding a night jogger as he loses control of his SUV and demolishes a barrier before hitting a tree.
The incredible near miss happened on the streets of Quzhou’s West District in East China’s Zhejiang Province, where authorities say a second pedestrian was not so lucky.
The footage shows the unnamed jogger running by the roadside when the white Range Rover comes speeding around a bend.

The driver surnamed Zhou, 55, understeers and slams through the metal traffic dividers before racing towards the jogger.
The jogger avoids what might have been a fatal collision by inches as the Range River slams into a tree and crashes out of camera shot.
Authorities said the SUV continued until it crashed into another tree and knocked over the second pedestrian surnamed Yu, who survived with a broken foot and several fractured ribs.
Zhou was found to have been drink-driving and, before being detained, was filmed apologising to the furious jogger who shouts: “You could’ve avoided all this by spending 100 RMB (11 GBP) on a taxi home!”
The Range Rover driver gets on his knees and says: “I’m sorry!” as the video ends.
