This is the moment a fed-up Russian man lowers a line of tied-together bed sheets from his window so his pal can send him up a bottle of vodka during COVID-19 lockdown.

The unusual ‘survival method’ was filmed in the city of Chekhov in the western Russian region of Moscow Oblast, and the video has been widely shared on the Russian social network VK.

In the footage, the cheeky husband is seen lowering a long line of tied-together sheets from a high-rise apartment window.

Once the line of sheets reaches the ground, a pal walks over and ties a plastic bag with vodka to it.

When the bag is secured, the man starts to bring the bottle of vodka up very carefully so as not to smash it against the side of the building.

According to the unnamed man’s neighbours, he is often locked in the apartment by his wife before she goes to work as he is very fond of alcohol.

Netizen ‘Marina Zamaraeva’ commented: “It’s good that no one interfered with the delivery, if his wife found out she would board-up the windows as well!”

‘Olga Komarova’ said: “This is a true friend, someone who will not leave you alone even during self-isolation.”
