A dozy commuter delayed frustrated train passengers when he fell asleep across two seats and trapped his head in the armrest.
The commuter – not named in local media in Argentina – apparently dropped off and panicked when he was unable to get his head free.
The bizarre incident was filmed on the Roca line in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires on Monday, and the footage is currently going viral on Twitter.
The video, posted by Juan Andres and viewed by 616,000 netizens in two days, shows the hapless commuter with his head stuck in the train seat.
The bearded commuter can be seen with his head sticking out into the aisle while other bemused travellers look on.
The train was reportedly delayed for 20 minutes while the trapped train passenger was rescued.
The Twitter user, who was on the train at the time, said the man was eventually freed from the armrest.
The train was reportedly held up at the railway station in the town of Villa Elisa in Buenos Aires Province.
Netizens had a lot to say about the man’s unfortunate nap, with Twitter users expressing that they “cannot stop laughing” and “I need to understand how this guy ended up like that, I’m stunned”.
However, not everyone saw the funny side.
One pondered: “Can you imagine arriving at work and being asked why you are late only to have to give that answer? You boss’ face would be like ‘are you screwing with me or what?’”
