Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has said he “hopes Neymar comes” to the club as the club’s attacking trio with the Brazilian, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi was “pure magic”.

Brazilian utility man Rafinha made the comments when presenting the Alcantara Family Foundation alongside his brother and Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara and father Mazinho, who was a World Cup winner with Brazil.

Speaking to reporters, Rafinha, 26, said: “I hope Neymar comes back, he’s a great player and it would be good for Barcelona.”

The Brazilian went on to describe Barcelona’s famed ‘MSN’ attack of Messi, Suarez and Neymar as “pure magic”, adding: “We really enjoyed the years we had that trident, it was impressive. He has enormous talent and it would be extraordinary to play with him again.”

Neymar is reportedly unsettled at Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and reports suggest the Brazil star is pining for “a return home” to Barcelona just two years after leaving the Spanish giants.

Rafinha himself has been linked with a move away from Barcelona but he told reporters: “I see myself at Barcelona next season and I’m going to fight to stay. I’m a Barcelona player in every aspect. My wish is to play, to have minutes and to enjoy the ball and I want to do it at Barcelona because it has been my club since I was 13 years old.”
