This is the moment a furious white woman in South Africa threatens a black motorist she was involved in a minor car crash with and uses foul-mouthed language and racist slurs.
The verbally abused woman, named Siphosethu Ngomane, shared the footage of the unidentified aggressive woman, who hails from the northern South African state of Gauteng, screaming at her on Twitter where it has been widely circulated.
At one point the white woman calls the victim a ‘k*ffir’, an insulting term for a black African.
Ngomane explained: “I slowed down to make sure that I maintained a safe following distance. The car [in front] then hit a lamppost and stopped moving altogether, the driver seemed to be in a fit-like condition and then became unconscious. We then called the police.”
As they waited for the police, the woman in another car then allegedly crashed into the back of Ngomane’s vehicle.
Ngomane said: “Instead of apologising, she cursed me out, slapping my phone out my hand [and it hit my face], threatened to ‘beat me up’, calling me names. But the final straw was when she used the k-word!”
In the footage, which does not include the events prior to the car accident, the woman is seen slapping the phone out of Ngomane’s hand while threatening to “f*ck you up”.
According to local media, Ngomane has filed a complaint with the South African Police Services (SAPS) and the South African Human Rights Commission.”
She has since said on Twitter that she has been disappointed with the police’s handling of the situation.
She wrote: “I have reached out to SAPS regarding this matter and their response has been nothing but… (distasteful to say the least).”
According to reports, the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for community safety, Faith Mazibuko, has reached out to Ngomane following the incident as calls grow for the woman’s arrest.
It is unclear whether the police are looking into the events.
