According to a nursery teacher, one of the rabbits was even found with its ear cut off.

When a netizen asked if the incident could have been caused by a dog or another type of predator, ‘Eykin Kassim’ claimed that the high boundary fence had been cut open.

She also confirmed that the school has filed a complaint with the police.

‘Eykin Kassim’ shared photos of the authorities investigating the school grounds and said that she hopes they find the perpetrators soon.

According to local media, if found guilty of animal abuse, the perpetrator could face a fine of 200 MYR (39 GBP), six months in prison or both.

The investigation is ongoing.
