President Putin’s celebrity ‘goddaughter’ has come under fire for referring to ‘good people’ as “dull”, “safe” and “bang average” at everything they do.

Beautiful 37-year-old Ksenia Sobchak said: “There are so many sweet-smiling, ideally good people who are beloved by the crowds and are generally very correct.

“They do not swear, misbehave, don’t cross a double line on the road, do not hide their plans, they are polite, solid professionals who know how to maintain friendships and how to smile.”

The ‘Russian Paris Hilton’ also claimed that these people do not doubt themselves or believe they make mistakes.

Sobchak then added that whatever they do is simply “bang average” as a result.

She said: “This is one of the biggest lies of our times. If you seem nice and friendly, people will forgive you for anything.”

Then she elaborated on the meaning of “good” by referring to it as “grey, dull, average and safe” and therefore “they are only a ‘good person’ for someone else’s self-esteem”.

“This is very unfair but also true. Most of us do not like people who stand out, who know how to do it with style.”

Sobchak’s father Anatoly Sobchak was the first democratically elected mayor of Saint Petersburg and is considered President Putin’s mentor.

In recent years, she has publicly opposed Putin, but it is believed that their families are still close.

Sobchak, who has also worked as a TV anchor, journalist, socialite and actress, is married to Russian actor Maxim Vitorgan, 45, but is believed to have had an affair with director Konstantin Bogomolov, 43.

Sobchak and her husband have a one-year-old son called Platon.

Last year, she raised eyebrows when she shared a sexy social media snap of herself showering in a black bikini on a yacht off Antibes in the French Cote d’Azur.
