A man in Maryland has scooped USD 50,000 playing the lottery in his fourth big win.

Kenneth Weinberg, of Columbia, in Howard County, in the US state of Maryland, won a USD-50,000 (GBP-41,100) top prize, the Maryland Lottery said in a statement obtained by Newsflash on Monday, 13th March.
The state lottery said it was his fourth big win worth over USD 50,000, adding: “A familiar face was seen in the Maryland Lottery’s claims center last week.
“Kenneth Weinberg of Columbia stopped by to claim a USD 50,000 top prize he discovered when scratching a USD 50,000 Cash instant ticket. The prize is his fourth Lottery win of USD 50,000 or more.”
Weinberg said: “I’ve been very lucky with the Lottery.”
Lottery officials said: “The Howard County man is semi-retired, working as an advocate for a counseling group. He buys scratch-offs just about every day, Kenneth told Lottery officials.”
They added: “Kenneth also lists a USD 100,000 [GBP 82,200] prize on his Lottery resume.”
Weinberg said: “I’ve been doing well these last few weeks with USD 50,000 Cash.”

He added: “When I stopped by the Royal Farms in Elkridge, that’s what I played.”
But lottery officials said he did not scratch his USD 20 (GBP 16) instant ticket right away.
Weinberg explained: “I’ve been having an issue with my eyesight, so I rely on the scanner. It’s easier to read.”
He added that after scanning his lucky scratch-off, the device’s message was quite clear.
Weinberg said: “It directed me to go to the Lottery office, so I knew it was too big a winner for the store to pay.”
He added: “It was like the first time. My heart started beating so fast.”
The lucky winner immediately scratched the instant ticket to reveal the USD 50,000 win. He said: “It was amazing. All I could say was ‘Wow!'”
