PUMPKIN HORROR: Deer Rescued After Getting Halloween Decoration Stuck On Its Head

This is the moment a deer is freed by an animal rescue group after getting his head stuck in a plastic pumpkin left over from Halloween.

The little deer had been spotted around the Bloomfield Hill neighbourhood with the plastic ornaments stuck on its head.

But it was finally rescued after it was spotted knocking against the door of a residential home in South Lyon in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan as if it was asking for help.

The South Lyon Murphy Lost Animal Recovery then helped to trap the deer and remove the plastic pumpkin before releasing it back to join its family.

The video was obtained by Newsflash from South Lyon Murphy Lost Animal Recovery along with a statement: “Happy gotcha day Bucky!”

They added: “The wonderful Amber had the honors of cutting the pumpkin off as Bucky was her deer who she watched out for all these days and she cared for. We now have the follow up plan with a ton of food, protein pellets and salt out there for him with some fresh water with electrolytes to get him back on track. We know he’s gonna go find his family now and he’ll be able to go grazing and eat back at the house!!!

Bucky was freed after he was successfully trapped under a safety net so the bucket could be removed, and he was then seen dashing off down the street.

The animal rescue organisation also posted a special thanks to Rick and Kim Canalas for their help with Bucky.

The organisation said: “These 2 drove from Monroe for two days to assist with this recovery. Rick, a.k.a. Rickgyver, is one of the only humans who can successfully and properly set up the Denver beast net. He’s the one who set it up for us several times before, and he’s always been amazing at it. When Rick is on scene, we take direction from him. And of course Kim too, but he doesn’t boss her around. Lol.

“So I want to say I’m very appreciative. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming up and helping Bucky when you didn’t have to because I get into squirrely cases.

“You too, are my friends and my allies and I am humbled by your experience and knowledge. U2 are definitely one of the best in Michigan as a duo team together and I look forward to so many more adventures with you guys and I can’t thank you enough again and I got mad love for you both. Teamwork makes the dream work.”

After the efforts, the team were rewarded with the fact that Bucky later returned to the area and was seen feeding. : “This little darling Bucky, so full of life and curious about the world, sticking his head in things where it doesn’t belong.

“To share some “behind the scenes” that day Bucky was netted, he came and was knocking that bucket on her front door and side window. Then he went and waited in the backyard the entire day until the shenanigans ensued.

“It’s my opinion he choose Amber as he knew her soul was good. He knew he’d get help. That’s rare when this occurs. Amber is a special lady and definitely holds a special place with us.

“Snow White aka Amber will continue to watch over her Forrest puppies and is ready to answer the call if one is needed. As for this little rascal Bucky, I think he knows he’s safe and loved.”

And about a video showing the deer running after safety, the organisation said: “Bucky has no idea how loved he is from afar. We appreciate every single one of you and can’t do any of this without all the love and support that we receive.”
