Areola spent this season on-loan to Real Madrid and Los Blancos coach was reportedly happy with his performances in the eight matches he played, but the Spanish giants are reportedly not likely to make the deal permanent.

Real Madrid have Ukrainian stopper Andrei Lounine, 21, and Zidane’s son Luca Zidane, 21, on the books with the pair currently on loan to Real Oviedo and Racing Santander respectively.

According to French sports magazine L’Equipe, Areola is making no secret about not wanting to return to Paris and has repeatedly told his entourage that he does not believe staying there will help in his career development.

The 27-year-old is a graduate of PSG’s academy and is said to be keen on a move to London, a city his wife Marrion reportedly likes.
