This pretty 24-year-old influencer is fighting for her life after she had an accident in Bali while riding a jet ski that landed her in a coma.

Russian State Duma deputy Mikhail Romanov announced on Saturday, 12th February, that the young woman will be evacuated home by the Russian government in an air ambulance.

She reportedly had an accident involving a jet ski while on holiday in Bali that has landed her in a coma. She has been in hospital in Indonesia since Thursday, 20th January.

These images show her enjoying her holiday and taking numerous photos and videos to mark the occasion, shortly before the horrific accident.

Very little is known about the jet ski accident that Polina suffered other than that she was riding the vehicle when the accident happened and that, as a result, she suffered a double leg fracture and injuries to the base of her spine.

She was reportedly operated on in Indonesia but lapsed into a coma after the operation. Doctors in Indonesia have diagnosed her with a fat embolism.

Polina is currently being cared for at a hospital in the city of Denpasar, which is the capital of Bali.

She reportedly had RUB 50,000 (GBP 482) in health insurance, but a day in hospital in Indonesia reportedly costs approximately RUB 250,000 (GBP 2,410). The young woman’s parents said that her health insurance was barely able to cover some of the costs for the operations.

They therefore decided to take her home and petitioned the Russian government to evacuate her.

Mikhail Romanov said: “I express my gratitude to [Deputy Prime Minister] Tatyana Golikova for the lightning-fast response to my appeal and prompt assistance in resolving the issue of evacuating the St. Petersburg woman.

“Our duty is to fight for the life of every citizen of the country, regardless of where in the world help is needed. The sanitary evacuation of Polina and her further treatment on the territory of the Russian Federation is under my personal control.”
