Russian cops are investigating after the fully clothed body of a pretty young flight attendant was found lying in a water-filled bath in a Moscow hotel room after having apparently been strangled.
Pretty 23-year-old Albina Mukhamedzyanova had moved to the Russian capital around four months ago to start a new life as a flight attendant , but had nevertheless been homesick and had missed her family.
A cleaner at the upmarket Vnukovo-Village Hotel on the outskirts of Moscow spotted the body and instantly raised the alarm. Police quickly confirmed that she had suffocated with marks around her neck indicating she was strangled. The marks on her neck were described as “fingerprints” by police.

Police spokesman Julia Ivanov confirmed: “There were clearly visible signs of a violent death in the form of asphyxiation, with death by suffocation.”
Hotel staff said that she had checked in with a young man the night previously, and there was no longer any sign of him when the body was found. Hotel staff said the man had checked out the day previously, and asked for the room to be reserved for another day before anyone went to clean it.
“The hotel staff confirmed she was a frequent visitor to the upmarket spa complex with the young man, which caters to the Russian capital’s wealthier clientele. It is also popular with flight staff as it is not far from Vnukovo Airport.
However, on all of the visits the reservation was only ever made out in her name.
The young woman’s best friend, Veronica Kudelina, said that Albina had originally indicated she was planning to go back to in Naberezhnye Chelny, an industrial city in west central Russia and get a job as a waitress. She added however that she believed she might have decided to stay in the end after finding a boyfriend. In total she had spent around four months in Moscow before she was killed, and had done her first flight after training on 11th June with the airline ‘I FLY’.
A spokesman for the airline declined to comment while the investigation was underway.
Another said that being a flight attendant had given her a taste for a better lifestyle, she had travelled the world and become enamoured with the glamorous lifestyle.
She had originally studied medicine in her hometown, but then had qualified as a flight attendant and moved to the capital.
Police are still putting together a picture of her life there, but they know that she was regularly sending money back to support her family in Naberezhnye Chelny, including her single-parent sister, and the first they knew about the tragedy was when they were contacted by journalists. As well as her parents and single-parent sister, she was reportedly supporting her brother.
