The bungled baby reveal was filmed in the city of Goiania in the Brazilian state of Goias when mum-to-be Ana Claudia was celebrating with friends and family.
In the footage, the pregnant woman is seen holding a baby reveal flare in her raised hand in front of a cake and party decorations.
In a warning for what’s about to come, a spark flies from the flare and drops down the pregnant woman’s ample cleavage, prompting her to rub the front of her dress.
The flare starts to smoke heavily and Ana Claudia and her pals start to jump and cheer in anticipation.
Another flare smokes blue, apparently revealing that she is expecting a baby boy, and the group celebrates while one reveller lifts up Ana Claudia’s dress train.
The train catches alight and the end burns away as party members quickly extinguish the burning dress.
Someone kicks away the singed cloth and the party continues in the smoky room.
No one was hurt in the incident and the party carried on with the same enthusiasm as seen in the footage before the brief blaze, according to local media reports.
