This 6-months pregnant woman has allegedly been shot dead by her husband just after she declared on social media that she loved him so much that it hurt, and that their unborn daughter was lucky to have him as a dad.

Nahaty Gomes de Mello, 33, died after her husband, Ricardo Pinheiro Juca, allegedly shot her along with her mother and father in Nova Friburgo, in the Serrana region of Rio de Janeiro last Friday (13th August).

Ricardo Pinheiro Juca has been accused of killing his wife Nahaty and his 67-year-old mother-in-law, Rosimary Gomes da Cunha, whilst attempting to kill his 75-year-old father-in-law, Wellington Braga Mello, who survived being shot in the face.

Local news site Odia reports that police arrived at the couple’s home in Nova Friburgo where they arrest Juca who was armed with a 9mm pistol.

Nahaty and her mother died at the scene, whilst Wellington was transferred to a hospital and has reportedly survived being shot in the mouth, although no further updates on his status have been released.

Her social media prior to the shooting painted a picture of a happily married couple. Nahaty even captioned a picture of her kissing Juca on 12th June: “My husband is, and will always be my boyfriend, we are always moving forward as we create more bright, happy, romantic and unique memories.”

She added: ” My advice to everyone is that they should never forget to enjoy every moment with the ones they love!”

Earlier this month on 8th August she posted another picture with her husband saying: “My love, Happy Father’s Day!! For the last 6 months, I want to show you my love, gratitude and say that our daughter will be lucky to have you as a father.”

Juca is facing two homicide charges and an attempt homicide charge that could result in an 84-year prison sentence if convicted.

The suspect is currently being held in preliminary detention whilst the authorities continue their investigation.
