Pregnant Influencer Killed By Stray Bullet During Shootout Between Cops And Crooks

This beautiful pregnant young woman and her unborn baby were killed after being hit by a stray bullet in a shootout between cops and criminals.

Interior designer Kathlen Romeu, aged 24, was 14 weeks pregnant when she was hit by the stray bullet in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on the afternoon of 8th June.

The shot was fired during a police operation in the neighbourhood of Lins de Vasconcelos. Kathlen was walking on the street with her grandmother when she was hit.

According to the police, a group of criminals opened fire on the officers, prompting them to return fire. They later seized a rifle magazine, ammunition and drugs from the area.

Kathlen was taken to a nearby hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.

The young woman had recently announced to her over 20,000 Instagram followers that she had already named her baby: Maya in the case of a girl and Zayon in the event of a boy.

She wrote: “Little one, I feel ready to welcome you, love you, care for you. God bless us.”

Her boyfriend, tattoo artist and graphic designer Marcelo Ramos, paid tribute to his late partner, taking to social media to write: “You will never be forgotten, my love.

“You, Maya/Zayon will always live on inside me. I’ve had the rug pulled out from under my feet. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand God’s will, but I know that you are now better than us.

“Only longing for and memories of you, the most radiant and lively person I’ve met in my life, will remain here. I will overcome it for your sake. May God give me strength.”

Kathlen’s friend, athlete Isabela Ramona, told news site G1: “Kath was very happy. She and Marcelo were very happy, making lots of plans, buying their house.

“She had just graduated from university. She was also very worried about the COVID issue. Her life was cut short when it was at its peak.”
