This is the moment a ‘possessed swing’ lifts in the air before swinging back and forth all by itself as this footage shows.

The incident was filmed in the central Chilean capital Santiago and posted on Facebook by netizen ‘Patricio Arancibia Toloza’ where it has been viewed 335,000 times.

In the footage, at least two men, believed to be security guards, are seen reviewing the CCTV footage of the eerie incident.

One of the swings in the park suddenly starts to move by itself and climb higher and higher.

A man says: “Look, here is the shadow. You can clearly see it and there is no one on the swing. Nobody is there and the other swing is still. There is also no wind and it is 12.24am.”

Patricio told local media: “My colleague and I were walking when he suddenly felt a blow [to his hand]. In that moment, the dogs in the area started howling.

“We made a round, and in the park we saw what seemed like two hands grabbing the chains.

“The area felt colder than other parts of the park.”

Seconds later, colleagues warned them that a ‘shadow’ could be seen following them as they patrolled the city.

It was then that Patricio’s colleague allegedly felt a blow which knocked his radio out of his hand.

Netizens had a lot to say about the supernatural swing. ‘Wladimir Lopez’ commented: “It is probably someone moving it with string.”

‘BernardaCastro’ said: “It is clear that something is on the swing and making a shadow – a lost soul who probably died suddenly and is not yet at peace.”
