Pooch With Bloody Paws Dragged Behind Owners Car

This footage shows a dog with bloodstained paws being dragged behind its owner’s car before witnesses put a stop to the abuse.

Traffic camera footage taken in the city of Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, shows the white pooch struggling to keep up as it is being pulled along the road on 16th March.

In the video, the exhausted dog struggles to run behind the black SUV while being tugged forwards by the metal chain lead attached to the back of its owner’s car.

Local resident Ms Peng spotted the animal and stopped the vehicle, with mobile phone footage showing her and others confronting the motorist who does not respond directly to her questioning.

In the clip, Ms Peng says: “What do you think you’re doing!

“Look at your dog! I’m taking a video of your number plate and you!

“How could you do this? It’s a life, too! How cruel!

“Look at all the blood! How could you do this!”

The dog owner picks up the injured pooch and puts it in the back of his car before driving off.

He does not explain why he dragged the dog behind his car.

Ms Peng is believed to have reported the incident to Changsha police, but the dog owner is not expected to be fined as China has no laws protecting domestic pets such as cats or dogs against abuse.
