Plane Passengers Break Through Airport Avoid Quarantine

This is the moment Ukrainian passengers break through the airport doors to avoid COVID-19 quarantine procedures after arriving from holiday in Vietnam.

The incident was filmed at an airport in the northern Ukrainian capital Kiev, and the footage was shared on the Russian social network VK where it has been viewed 225,000 times.

In the footage, officials in white protective overalls are seen trying to stop residents from leaving the airport building.

Meanwhile, some returning holidaymakers are seen breaking open a door before pouring out.

Residents at the other door then break past the officials and one burly man is seen pinning back one man in protective garb.

Many citizens are seen wearing face masks but some, including children, are not.

According to local media, the police were called to the scene and they managed to stop the last few travellers after the majority managed to leave the airport.

Reports said the passengers had arrived from Vietnam and were supposed to be examined in the quarantine area before being allowed to leave.

As of 30th March, the Ukraine has reported 475 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 10 related deaths, according to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University.

Meanwhile, six people have made full recoveries.
