PLANE CRASH: Pilot Dies As Small Plane Wrecked In Crash Near Airport In California

A pilot has died after a small plane they were flying crashed near Modesto Airport in California.

The footage shows the scene of the plane crash east of Modesto Airport, in the city of Modesto, in the US state of California.

Detective Singh can be seen in the footage explaining the case. He confirms in the footage that the pilot died in the crash.

Newsflash obtained a statement from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, 19th January, along with a statement saying: “Deputies, fire and medical personnel responded to the report of a plane crash east of the Modesto Airport. When first responders arrived, the pilot, an adult male, was located deceased inside the aircraft, with no other occupants.

“The northbound lanes of Mitchell Road between Hatch Road and Finch Road will be at least partially closed throughout the night until the Federal Aviation Administration (FFA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) arrive on scene to take over the investigation. Expect delays if you’re using this route.”

Detective Singh also confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that the plane, reportedly a Cessna 414, would remain in the field where it crashed while the authorities determine why it crashed.

The pilot’s name has not been revealed and the investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing.
