Pitbull Attacks Child Playing Football In The Street

This is the moment when a child playing ball on the street is bitten by a pitbull that was going for a walk with its owner.

According to the news website CNN Turk’s report, the incident took place in the neighbourhood of Soganlik in the district of Kartal in the north-western Turkish province of Istanbul on the evening of 28th June.

The dog, dragging its handler, attacked a 10-year-old unidentified boy playing ball in the street. The handler of the dog and the passers-by tried to save the boy from the dog.

The moment of the attack was recorded by the security camera of a nearby building. People are seen trying to separate the dog from the child after struggling for about a minute.

According to the news website Haberler’s report, it was learned that the child, who was taken to the hospital with injuries, is still receiving treatment in the hospital.

Fatih Aksu and Huseyin Aksu, who are the dog’s owners, were arrested and taken to the police station to take their statements.

It is not clear if the dog handler was one of the owners.

The dog was taken under protection by the Animal Condition Monitoring Teams (HAYDI).

Haberler reported that the suspects were detained by order of the prosecutor’s office after their statements were taken at the police station.

Although the fine amount is not known, it was reported that if the suspects are found guilty, most likely fines will be applied.
