Pilot And Student Survived This Crash After Plane Lands In A Tree

This is the moment a small plane plummets from the sky and crashes in a forest, but the two people on board survived after hitting a tree.

The incident took place near the Vadul lui Voda airfield in the town of Vadul lui Voda in the municipality of Chisinau in Moldova on 18th April.

The emergency services received a call about a crashed plane and two teams of firefighters were sent to the scene at 12.45pm.

After arriving at the crash site, firefighters found an instructor and a student in the Aerostar R40 Festival plane that belonged to an aviation academy.

According to the pilot’s colleagues, the plane crashed about 100 metres from the runway in a forest near the aerodrome shortly after takeoff.

The plane reportedly plummeted from a height of about 300 metres (984 feet) and its fall was cushioned by tree branches. The tail of the plane was broken in two and some parts were stuck in the branches of trees.

The two occupants were taken to hospital where they are said to be in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure’s committee for the investigation of aeronautical events is investigating the crash to determine the cause.
