Jimenez, 28, plays as a goalkeeper for FC Juarez Femenil in Liga MX Femenil, Mexico’s top-flight women’s football league.

The club is based in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua State, north-western Mexico, which lies on the border with El Paso, Texas, USA.

Jimenez – from Colima State, western Mexico – is 5’7″ tall and previously played for Atletico de San Luis Femenil in San Luis Potosi, north-central Mexico.

Jimenez boasts an army of 919,000 Instagram followers, whom she keeps updated with her team’s progress, as well as racy snaps that leave little to the imagination.

In one, she can be seen looking suggestively at the camera in a colourful two-piece swimsuit at the beach.

In another, she can be seen taking a selfie on her bed in a revealing bikini.

Another snap shows her in the popular tourist site of Tulum sharing a kiss with her partner, for whom Jimenez is most definitely a keeper.

Jimenez also uses her Instagram page to promote several products, including mobile phones, sportswear, food, and fashion accessories.

During her time in San Luis Potosi, she said her dream was to play for a European team – a goal she still hopes to achieve.

She said at the time: “I know where I’m going and it’s a very big window, as one of my personal goals is to play abroad, so being in this club opens up that possibility for me and I don’t rule it out in the future.”

Jimenez named two of her footballing idols as Mexican former goalies Jorge Campos and Oswaldo Sanchez.

Now Jimenez herself is an inspiration for young girls who aspire to become football players.
