A man has been arrested for having sex with a female goat before strangling “her” because he “was attracted to her” and “she drew him in”.
The bizarre incident took place in Radunjaca, near Banja Luka the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Slobodanka Vuckovic found the dead goat in her garden.
Local media report the goat’s owner found a wallet with documentation containing the suspect’s name near the dead animal.
The owners of the goat reportedly noticed the animal had strange injuries near its tail. They reported the case to the police and an investigation was launched.
The animal’s body underwent tests which determined it had been the victim of bestiality and then strangled. The suspect has been named as local resident V.V., 32, in reports.
Vuckovic, who found the goat, said: “The young man was questioned by the police and was detained for 24 hours, after which they released him. Imagine that he did not deny it at all, and when he met my son, he told him ‘you know when I went and saw the goat, I was attractive to her, she drew me in’.”
She added: “The young man is not otherwise problematic and all of the neighbours are shocked… now I’m scared. I don’t know what to think when someone can do this to an animal, and it was done because to me it’s all official and confirmed, that’s why I’m talking about it.”
Cryptically, she also added: “And those goats I found dead before, now believe me I don’t know what to think. I never questioned if they died naturally. All this really scared me.”
It is unclear if the suspect has been charged.
