This is the moment a lorry and a tow truck it is attached to are smashed violently apart by a massive HGV that hits them straight in the middle.

The incident in which the lorry also hits a car first that is sent spinning towards a pedestrian as he runs off camera happened in the county of Raoping in China’s southern Guangdong Province.

Traffic camera footage shows the pedestrian standing near a broken-down lorry as it is being towed by a rescue vehicle, which is reversing out of a side road.

A black saloon car stops on the road to let the larger lorries pass, but a second heavy goods vehicle suddenly speeds into view and crashes into the back of the small car.

Having been unable to stop in time, the second lorry sends the saloon skidding across the road and spinning 180 degrees towards the pedestrian, who produces an incredible dodge to avoid serious injury.

The lorry then slams into the broken-down heavy goods vehicle, which spins 90 degrees and nearly hits a second pedestrian, who also jumps out the way.

According to reports, the crashed lorry driver was freed from his cabin by the local fire service and taken to hospital for treatment.

He is not understood to be in any life-threatening condition, while no others were injured.

The incident is still under investigation.
