Passengers Sent Flying As Lorry Smashes Into Bus

This is the shocking moment bus passengers are sent flying and headbutt seats in a head-on crash with a lorry.

The incident was filmed by the bus’ on board cameras and took place in the port city of Talcahuano in the central Chilean region of Biobio.

The video was uploaded to Facebook where 202,000 people have viewed it.

In the footage, a white lorry is seen overtaking two cars on a wet day with poor visibility and driving directly in front of the oncoming bus.

Unable to get out of the way, the lorry and bus crash head-on and passengers are seen being thrown about and screaming.

Several camera angles show the extent of the devastating smash inside the bus.

According to reports, 11 passengers and the bus driver were injured in the accident.

The driver, identified as Waldo Soto, told local media that the accident took place during adverse weather conditions.

He said: “My path was free when a lorry suddenly changed lanes and we crashed in a split second.”

Waldo reportedly suffered an ankle injury during the smash.

The condition of the lorry driver was not reported.

The local authorities have yet to confirm whether they are investigating the crash.

Netizen ‘Maciel Ampuero’ commented: “Poor frightened people.”

‘NiinaUrrutia’ said: “Terrible, I hope that nobody was seriously injured.”
