Paris Hilton’s ex River Viiperi has been arrested for beating his gorgeous influencer girlfriend at their home in Barcelona during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The 28-year-old Spanish model, who dated American socialite Paris Hilton between September 2012 and July 2014, was reportedly arrested at his home in Barcelona in the north-eastern Spanish region of Catalonia after his partner Jessica Goicoechea called the cops.
Goicoechea, who boasts 1.2 million Instagram followers, accused Viiperi of beating her, and police on the scene found her with clear signs of physical abuse, according to local media.
The pretty influencer told cops that they were in the process of separating, but had to live together under the same roof due to the COVID-19 lockdown measures in the country.
Viiperi was arrested by officers of the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan police) and was taken to the Les Corts police station where he reportedly refused to give a statement.
The following day, he was sent before a judge who allowed him to go free on charges, according to reports.
Meanwhile, the victim has since said that she does not want to press charges against the male model.
However, the investigation continues because the attending police officers already filed a report and witnessed the victim’s alleged injuries.
As well as modelling, Viiperi also managed Goicoechea’s career after she quickly became one of Spain’s first and most prominent online influencers.
The gorgeous blonde started posting snaps on Instagram when she was 16 years old and she quickly caught the eye of brands such as Calvin Klein and Victoria’s Secret, among others.
She has also appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Esquire and DT.
After local media reported on Viiperi’s arrest, Goicoechea said on social media: “Thanks with all my heart for all the support and lovely messages I have received at this difficult time.
“All this is in my lawyer’s hands who are taking care of everything. It is a delicate matter and it should remain in my private life. I ask that you respect my privacy. Thanks a lot.”
