Panic As Freak Dust Storm Breaks Loose On Spain Beach

This is the moment a freak dust storm sends beachgoers belongings and parasols flying through the air sparking panic among screaming sun worshippers.

The incident took place at the beach of Canet d’en Berenguer, in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia and was recorded by stunned beachgoers.

In the video, parasols, chairs and other belongings of the beachgoers can be seen flying through the air as the sudden burst of strong wind causes panic.

Beachgoers can be seen running to try to secure their possessions and some can be heard screaming.

After a few seconds, the wind stops and the bathers are seen trying to recover their belongings. 

One man said “how crazy” and other asked those around him “have you seen my cap?”.

Local media report the dust clouds usually occur on hot days and the recent heatwave saw other areas in Spain affected, with the emergency services reported more than 340 emergency calls and the city council of Barcelona, in the eastern Spanish region of Catalonia, had to activate an emergency plan for flooding after intense rainfall during the heatwave.
