This is the moment a Tuk-Tuk driver tries to overtake another auto-rickshaw and ends up crashing into two women walking along the street.
The incident was filmed in the city of Itay Al Barud in the northern Egyptian governorate of Beheira.
The footage was shared by the Ministry of Interior after the victims, two sisters, reported the incident to the authorities after one of them needed significant medical treatment.

As a result, the tuk-tuk driver, name not disclosed, has been identified and arrested.
In the footage, two women in hijabs are seen walking along the street as two auto rickshaws enter the road side-by-side.
The driver of a white van then passes the two women and encounters the overtaking tuk-tuk in his path.

The rickshaw driver tries to take evasive action and swerves back onto the right side of the road immediately after passing the other tuk-tuk.
However, the driver loses control of the auto rickshaw and it topples over, hitting both women – one of them hard.
The women are knocked to the ground and one appears to hit her head on the kerb.

As onlookers rush to help the injured women, two men get out of the tuk-tuk and push it back on its three wheels.
The tuk-tuk driver has reportedly admitted his guilt to the police as the investigation continues.
There have been no further updates on the women’s current condition.
