Outrage After Boy, 11, Filmed Driving Red Ferrari Around Italian Town

This is the moment an 11-year-old boy coolly drives a red Ferrari around town, sparking outrage on social media.

The footage shows a boy in the driver’s seat of the luxury sports car driving around in Casandrino, a small town in the Italian province of Naples.

The video went viral after Francesco Emilio Borrelli, regional councillor for the Green Europe political party, shared the clips on his Facebook page.

The first video shows the11-year-old boy driving into a car park in the red supercar while apparently accompanied by an adult.

In the second clip filmed by a local resident, the same car is seen driving along a town street by the 11-year-old boy, according to the Green Europe councillor.

Borrelli posted the videos on his Facebook page, sharing the message he received from the person who sent him the videos: “Hello councillor, I wanted to show you an 11-year-old boy who they let drive a Ferrari around Casandrino. Some people, just because they have money and cars, feel like they own the world and can do whatever they want by educating their children in the wrong way.”

Borrelli added: “The unhealthy practice of allowing children to drive cars (Ferraris or otherwise) by some families must be stopped.”

It is unclear if the local authorities are investigating the matter.
