This is the moment an out-of-control bus slams into a crowded station and knocks over a toddler walking with her mum.

The accident happened at Dalang Station in the city of Dongguan, which is in South China’s Guangdong Province, on 3rd August.

Footage from the bus terminal shows adults and children walking around the waiting area when the blue bus driven by Mr Ren crashes through the glass.

A young girl, who has not been named in reports, walking next to her mother is unable to react in time and is knocked over by debris that comes flying into the terminal.

The shocked parent runs away from the glass pane but quickly sprints back after realising her daughter has been hit by the debris.

The girl appears to be left sitting on a metal notice board before her mum plucks her off the floor.

According to a statement by the Songhanhu Public Transport Company, Mr Ren’s route 391 bus collided with a concrete pillar before crashing into the bus terminal.

The crash caused no injuries, and operations at the bus station resumed 45 minutes later, the company said.

Mr Ren is said to have crashed the bus due to a “handling error”, but his employers have not revealed further details of how exactly it happened.

Investigations are ongoing.
