The estranged partner of the German MP who left his family for a porn star says she is struggling to cope with the fact everybody else seemed to know about it, and that the two had even slept together in her bed next to photos of the kids.

Bundestag member Hagen Reinhold, 44, has always maintained that his relationship with former porn star Annina Ucatis-Semmelhaack, 43, began after his separation from his partner of 16 years Karoline Preisler, 51.

But Preisler – a lawyer and aspiring constitutional judge – has told local media that the two were having an affair when she was still together with Reinhold.

She revealed she was more hurt about where the meetings took place than the affair itself, telling local media: “After all, we no longer live in the 1950s.

“But I would have found it more respectful if the meetings hadn’t also taken place in my Berlin apartment and in my bed, next to the photos of our children that were on the shelf.”

Preisler – who has three children with Reinhold – told local media: “It is correct: both lied for many months.

“I was on a camping holiday with Hagen Reinhold in July. Then he confessed a fling to me.

“What he didn’t say is that he was intimate with Mrs Semmelhaack behind my back for months.”

Preisler – who, like both Reinhold and Ucatis, belongs to the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP) – told local media: “The rumour mill in the Bundestag knew it, my next-door neighbour knew it. I was the only one who didn’t know.

“I had even welcomed Mrs Semmelhaack with a personal message in the liberal family of women. That makes me uncomfortable today.”

She had scathing words for her former partner, telling local media: “Love is a power of heaven. I would have forgiven him. A fling, also several, also a clean separation.

“What I don’t forgive him for is constantly telling untruths in public. He apologises all the time. But he lies to the public, he lies to the voters.”

Ucatis, however, hit back, telling Preisler via local media: “Your statements are completely unfounded. I am always available for a personal and private conversation.”

Reinhold met former porn star and Promi (Celebrity) Big Brother contestant Ucatis through a mentoring programme run by the FDP-affiliated Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

Ucatis – famous for her double-G breasts – is now running for the FDP in local elections in Elmshorn.

She married real estate billionaire Theodor Semmelhaack, 65, in 2013. Like Reinhold, she insists that her relationship had already ended before her liaison with the MP.
