ONE SHOT: Gunman That Fired 80 Bullets And Killed Two Cops Is Shot Dead With A Single Bullet Of Return Fire

This is the moment a crazed gunman gets brought down by a single gunshot after shooting more than 80 bullets at police officers and killing two of them in the process.

The incident took place in the city of Bristol, in the US state of Connecticut.

Officers Dustin DeMonte, Alex Hamzy and Alec Iurato got themselves lured into what is believed to have been an ambush set up by Nicholas Brutcher, 35.

Newsflash obtained the footage from the Inspector General, along with a statement that said: “Three Bristol police officers, Sergeant Dustin DeMonte, Officer Alex Hamzy, and Officer Alec Iurato responded to 310 Redstone Hill Road based on a 911 call believed to have been made by Nicholas Brutcher.”

When the three unsuspecting officers arrived, they were reportedly greeted at the side door by Nathan Brutcher.

The officers asked Nathan to step outside and were struck by heavy gunfire the moment he walked out.

Nicholas Brutcher fired more than 80 rounds attacking the officers from behind, fatally shooting both Sergeant DeMonte and Officer Hamzy, and wounding Officer Iurato.

Body-worn footage shows the final moments of the bloody shootout, as Officer Iurato drags his injured leg around the house and behind a police car.

He limps away from the violently dangerous gunman as his painful grunting gets muffled by the sounds of a woman screaming her lungs out and Nicholas’ repeated firing.

Nicholas’ apparent attempts to finish off the officer are suddenly interrupted by the single gunshot fired by Iurato, striking and killing him on the spot.

The Inspector General said: “Although some details of the investigation remain to be determined, it is evident from the evidence collected so far that Officer’s Iurato’s use of deadly force was justified.”

An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of Nicholas Brutcher’s death was a single gunshot wound to the neck with spinal cord injury.
