Off-Duty Cop Thwarts Armed Robbers In Restaurant

This is the moment an off-duty cop thwarts an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant by pulling out his gun and opening fire on the suspected criminals.

The startling scenes were recorded by CCTV cameras at a fast food restaurant called Gulla’s Burguer in the city of Goiania in the central Brazilian state of Goias.

In the video, a group of seven friends can be seen sitting on the terrace of the restaurant when a motorbike pulls up.

An armed man gets off the back of the motorbike and walks into the shop with his weapon drawn.

One of the customers, reportedly an off-duty police officer, notices the gunman and draws his own weapon.

The cop then fires at the criminal who disappears from the screen as the officer’s friends scramble to the ground for cover.

A worker then walks into shot and takes cover near a wall before the cop begins firing at the motorbike as it turns around and passes by.

The cop can then be seen putting his gun away.

Other angles show the first criminal running away behind the restaurant as terrified workers take cover in the kitchen.

Local media report nobody was injured in the incident and nothing was taken from the restaurant. Military Police say around 10 shots were fired in tital.

The suspects have not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
