This is the retired Bosnian schoolteacher who only wears red clothes and even has a red house with red furniture and a red tombstone waiting for her when she dies.

According to local media, 67-year-old Zorica Rebernik from the village of Breze in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been buying red clothes and items for nearly 50 years.

She said she only feels comfortable around this colour and began dressing from head to toe in red when she was 18 years old, even wearing the colour on her wedding day and at funerals.

Rebernik, who lives in a red house with a red interior and appliances, told local media: “I listen to my inner self. Everything comes from the soul, from the heart, from my body. I never talk to experts, I just listen to myself.”

The former teacher also wore red for her job and used to buy her students red gifts and items of clothing.

Although pupils and parents were fine with Rebernik’s obsession with the colour, she admits that “colleagues found it annoying”.

Whenever travelling, the former teacher always bought red souvenirs, stating: “I never asked about the price. The simple fact is, if it is red, I am buying it!”

Rebernil, who has red hair and a red car, also has a tombstone prepared for her and husband Zoran made of red granite especially imported from India.
