Nutritionist Jailed For 18 Years Stimulated Patients Cl1torises And Checked Their Vag1nas For Lubrication

A nutritionist who has been jailed for 18 years for sexually abusing his patients reportedly admitted that he stimulated their clitorises and used two fingers to check their vaginas for lubrication.

Abib Maldaun Neto was sentenced to 18 years and six months in prison by a court in the city of Sao Paulo, in south-eastern Brazil, on Thursday, 20th January.

The nutritionist had been working out of a practice located in the upmarket Jardins neighbourhood of Sao Paulo. The victims said that they went to the nutritionist after receiving recommendations from their family members, their friends or their co-workers.

The abuse committed by the doctor between 1997 and 2020, before his arrest in December that year, involved him stimulating the clitorises of patients and inserting two fingers into their vaginas “to check for lubrication”, according to the doctor’s own statement in court.

Judge Ana Claudia dos Santos Sillas jailed the nutritionist for rape through fraud against six former patients and a former employee. In one of the cases, the nutritionist committed the crime a total of 15 times against one person.

The doctor reportedly often asked his patients about their sex lives during consultations, which lasted for a long time. In some cases, the nutritionist is said to have performed examinations during which he touched his patients’ vaginas after they informed him that they had yeast infections or other ailments.

The doctor said that side effects from drugs he sometimes prescribe to his patients meant that he was required to insert his fingers into their vaginas “to see if there was lubrication” and to evaluate “undesirable clitoral erection”.

The doctor’s lawyer has said that he plans to appeal the sentence.

It is currently unclear when the next court date will be set.
