This is the moment a nursery school teacher repeatedly kicks a boy on the ground and violently drags a girl by her hair after they messed up the moves for a Children’s Day dance.

The footage shows the class of young pupils standing on the playground at the Beijiao Qianhe Guoxue Kindergarten in Xi’an, capital of north-western China’s Shaanxi Province.

The group were reportedly practicing for a class performance when the teacher, who has not been named, singled out several of the children for failing to remember the choreographed moves on 1st June – Children’s Day in China.

In the video, which was filmed by locals, the teacher can be seen pulling the ponytail of one of the girls and then manhandling another boy.

She also repeatedly kicks a young boy who appears to be sitting on the ground unwilling to dance.

The videos end with a second girl having her hair pulled while another male staff member walks by without intervening.

According to reports, witnesses turned the evidence over to local police, who arrived at the nursery school to detain the teacher later the same afternoon.

A parent, who did not give her name, told local media: “The boy being kicked by the teacher on the ground is my son.

“He told me his teacher hit him, and that he doesn’t want to go to nursery school any more.

“The teacher sent me a message saying she hit him because he didn’t know how to dance and it worried her. I can’t accpet that she struck him over a dance.”

Local education authorities are investigating the school, with the teacher as well as the nursery school’s direction brought in for questioning.
