Nursery School Teacher Kills Herself After Footage Showing Her Beating Children Emerges And She Is Fired

A nursery school teacher in Kazakhstan has reportedly killed herself after footage showing her beating the children in her care emerged and she was fired.

The teacher, who has not been named but who was reportedly 42 years old, taught at a nursery school in Kazakhstan’s former capital city Almaty.

Footage emerged online showing the teacher allegedly beating the children in her care, with their hair being pulled and the children being kicked, as well as other physical violence.

She is also said to have forced the youngsters to eat salt and beaten them with a rolling pin.

This prompted a scandal, which caused the authorities to launch an investigation into the teacher. She was also reportedly fired from her job.

And now police in Kazakhstan have confirmed that the teacher has killed herself.

The police said: “The Almaty City Police Department confirms that the woman has committed suicide.

“Currently, the police department of the Zhetysu region is conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

The police are investigating the beatings, with a case opened for failing to “fulfil obligations for the upbringing of a minor”.

The footage of the violence was originally shared online by an influencer called Ilyas Nugumanov, who later removed the video but also said that one of the children suffered a split lip as a result of an encounter with the teacher.

Before it emerged that the teacher had killed herself, the Almaty City Police Department said in a statement: “The material of the criminal case is being dealt with by the Zhetysu District Unitary Enterprise.

“The circumstances around the appalling evidence will be looked into, and a legal assessment of the teacher’s actions will be given, according to which she will be held accountable.”
