A male nurse has been suspended after he admitted to stripping off his PPE to have sex with a man infected with COVID-19 in a hospital toilet.

The shocking incident, which could see both the nurse and the patient prosecuted under Indonesia’s anti-pornography laws, came to light after the man boasted about the fling with the male nurse on social media.

After the post went viral, the patient was questioned along with the nurse that he allegedly had sex with, and both admitted the story was true and took place in the toilet after the man had removed his PPE, which he photographed scattered over the ground.

The nurse was reportedly working at the Wisma Atlet quarantine facility in Jakarta when he had sex with the patient who then bragged about it on social media.

Authorities tested the pair for COVID-19 after the confession and the patient was found to still be positive while the nurse tested negative.

Officials have confirmed that they could face criminal prosecution even though the post in itself was not pornographic.

If convicted, the crime carries a sentence of up to 10 years each.
