Nintendo have dropped the busty fighting character Mai Shiranui from their ‘Super Smash Bros.’ video game series because the curvy ninja was too suggestive for “good little children”.

Masahiro Sakurai, a 49-year-old Japanese video game director and designer who is best known as the creator of the Super Smash Bros. series, told local media: “By the way, there is one important character from the ‘Fatal Fury’ series who is not going to appear, okay? That’s right, Mai Shiranui.

“Unfortunately, Super Smash Bros. is a CERO A-rated game for good little children so we couldn’t include her.”

He added: “Please forgive us.”

Mai Shiranui is a female ninja fighter who first appeared in ‘Fatal Fury 2’ in 1992 and for a while she was considered the sexiest character in popular fighting games.

She also appeared in ‘The King of Fighters’ series of fighting games as well as various manga and anime adaptations.

The character plays a leading role in the 2010 live-action film ‘The King of Fighters’.

Mai Shiranui has also become a sexy inspiration for models and cosplayers.

Her character has been described as “uninhibited and cheerful” as well as “charismatic and flamboyant” with a “flirtatious personality” and “exhibitionistic tendencies”.
