This is the moment a pair of newlyweds open fire with what appears to be an AK-47 machine gun and a handgun in front of the registry office.

The bizarre scenes were recorded by an onlooker in front of the registry office in the city of Vladivostok, in the Permsky Krai region in eastern Russia.

In the video, a man who appears to be the groom, who has not been named in reports, can be seen holding a machine gun as onlookers cheers.

He then fires the gun into the air as the man recording shouts: “Come on! Do it! Show them you’re worth it!”

The clip then shows the bride holding a pistol and shooting into the air, followed by a guest who also open fire. Neither of the newlyweds have been named in reports.

According to the press service of the local Department of The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the video is now being examined and the participants of the incident are being identified. They could reportedly face charged.

One netizen wrote: “The registry office is located in a vibrant neighbourhood – apartment buildings and educational institutions are situated within arm’s reach. Vladivostok is not the Caucasus, at least, where newlyweds’ firing scenes are a tradition, but most often turn into a tragedy.”
