This footage shows a small dog standing outside a pet hospital in north-eastern China and barking at the veterinarians inside because it reportedly holds a grudge against them for giving it an injection.

The doctor, who was not named in local media in Liaoyang, Liaoning Province, said the dog has been persistently barking outside their door for years after receiving a shot when it was a puppy.

And the brown-haired short-legged dachshund returned again on the morning of 9th December to ‘tell’ the vets off for stinging it with a needle a few years back.

An unnamed witness filmed the dog that was still not ready to forgive as it stood outside the glass door of the pet hospital, barking at the doctor seen sitting inside.

But the witness said that the dog was quite funny and harmless despite its indignation at the jab.

And although it was barking at the entrance when the door was closed, as soon as someone opened the door, it would get scared and run away.

The video of the resentful dog later made its way to Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, and apparently left netizens amused too.

User ‘Lulu’ said: “The doctor-patient relationship is a bit tense.”

And user ‘quietly’ asked: “If you hold grudges like this after getting an injection, what will you do after a sterilization?”
