A Japanese netizen has scored a viral hit with a snap of a cute cat crouching inside a CAT toy box.

The photo was shared on Twitter by Japanese netizen ‘Saba_44ki’ where it has been ‘liked’ 100,000 times and retweeted by 33,000 users.

In the photo, a cute cat appears bemused as it crouches inside a CAT box for a toy digger.

The cute snap was accompanied with the message: “I know what’s written there, but you didn’t have to go inside it…”

The netizen’s apparent pun was appreciated by Twitter users as it attracted comments such as “I wonder where they sell these, I would love to get one”, “what does it use for fuel, yarn?”, “this one probably won’t do any work”, “it’s the best four-wheel drive around” and “so where is this CAT’s user guide?”.

Caterpillar Inc., also known as CAT, is an American Fortune 100 corporation which designs, develops and markets machinery and financial products around the world.

The company, instantly recognisable from its yellow and black logo, also has a line of clothing and work boots.
