This is the moment Napoli starlet Elif Elmas bends a ball into the net from far behind it – prompting comparison with David Beckham – after his club teammate Hirving Lozano did the same thing in training.
The 2o-year-old North Macedonian international Elif Elmas, scored the goal as he was training with the national team ahead of their clash with Slovenia in which he scored two goals.
In the video, Elmas can be seen lining up the shot from far behind the goal and he hits the ball with so much swerve it bounces towards the far post.
The ball then nestles in the net and Elmas runs away celebrating.
The clip comes as Elmas’ club teammate Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano scored an almost carbon-copy of the goal in training.
The video shows Lozano, also known as Chucky, as he approaches the ball a few metres behind the net near the corner flag as his fellow Mexico teammates watch the young winger make the attempt.
Lozano kicks the ball with his right foot, bending it so much that it comes round and into the far corner of the net after hitting the base of the post.
The Napoli man is seen turning around smiling from ear to ear after the ball goes in. It is unclear the number of attempts he needed to score the incredible goal.
Facebook user named ‘Ruzdi Bekiri’ wrote on the video of Elmas: “Thumbs up, only masters can do this.”
And ‘Ajet Imeroski’ said: “Cheers master, only Beckham could do this till now, look how far you have come and how much further you will go”.
The young midfielder signed for Napoli in July from Turkish giants Fernabache for a reported 16 million EUR (14.4 million GBP)
